LeighFisher advises government agencies at all levels on developing policies to fulfill their responsibilities. To do so, we call upon our extensive organizational, funding and policy expertise as well as the experience of our staff. Our staff brings together experts that have worked for the legislative and executive branches of government, advised departmental agencies and provided counsel to those impacted by government policies.
Our understanding of public policy is recognized by the National Academy of Sciences’ Transportation Research Board which has commissioned our staff to complete a number of policy studies that inform government decision-making. Many of our ideas have directly informed the development of policy and the regulatory process.
We work side-by-side with agency officials discharging their responsibilities. We understand that they must design policies that effectively address their goals and are sustainable for their stakeholders, while not placing an undue regulatory burden on the agency and its officials.
